The largest and most famous beer festival in the world, Oktoberfest runs from September 20 to October 5, 2008, in Munich, Bavaria. At this time of year, beer drinkers and comedians from all over the world roam this beautiful part of Germany.

When to go?
From late September to early October, there are two weeks of entertainment, food, and beer every year! Every day around 10:00 to 22:00 there is entertainment and lots of food and drink.
Until 18:00 you can experience "Silent October" every day when the beer tent plays soft music and the atmosphere becomes more accessible to families and parents.
Which tent to visit?
Oktoberfest in Munich is a sprawling area with 14 beer tents for every taste and many big enough for a few thousand. Some are popular with young and old, some with families and seniors, others are more traditional or feature live music or singing.
Something to drink
Many local beers are available and the festival has its own specialty drinks which are darker and stronger in taste and alcohol than traditional drinks.
